SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The Skidmore College ice hockey team goes on the road this weekend to opens its ECAC Men's East schedule, taking on the University of New England and the University of Southern Maine.
Skidmore (1-0) vs. University of New England (1-0)Skidmore and the University of New England split the season series last year, with each team getting a win on its home ice. The Thoroughbreds notched a 5-2 home win Nov. 8, while the Nor'easters won 4-2 on Jan. 18.

vs. University of Southern Maine (1-0)Skidmore went 0-1-1 against Southern Maine last season. The Huskies downed the Thoroughbreds 3-2 on Nov. 9 and the teams drew 2-2 in their second meeting of the year on Jan. 17.
