BOSTON, Mass.— Unbeaten UMASS Boston scored the game's first four goals on the way to a 6-1 win over Skidmore College in ECAC East men's hockey action, Saturday.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 2-5 overall and 1-5 in the East. The 11^th ranked Beacons are 6-0 and 4-0 in league play.
 
Freshman Connor Pelkey scored a power-play goal at 12:18 of the second period for the lone Thoroughbred goal. Andreas Michailidis had the assist.  It was Pelkey's second goal of the season.
 
UMB outshot Skidmore 41-15. Thoroughbred goalie Ben Freiberg stayed busy with 35 saves, including 17 in the second period.
 
Skidmore will host the Skidmore Invitational Nov. 29 and 30. The Thoroughbreds play SUNY Morrisville on Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. in the first semifinal. Williams and Johnson and Wales play in the 5 p.m. semifinal. The consolation and championship games are on Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
