Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College volleyball team opened play in the Skidmore Invitational with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) win over SUNY Potsdam, Friday night at the Williamson Sports Center.
 
The Thoroughbreds (8-23) will play Fredonia on Saturday at 10 a.m. and New Paltz at 2 p.m. to close out tournament.
 
Aria Goodman had 12 kills, two aces, and six digs for Skidmore. Marcela Familiar had a team-high 12 digs and two aces, while Kalle Fox had a double/double with 18 kills and 10 digs.
 
The Thoroughbreds also got some timely defense by Clara Jones and Clare Kenny. The pair finished with eight and seven digs respectively.
 
In other scores, New Paltz beat Union 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-19) and Fredonia downed Farmingdale 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-17).
