Thoroughbreds close out conference play

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team concluded conference play at home Saturday dropping a 3-1 (25-23, 25-11, 23-25, 25-13) match to RIT and a 3-0 (25-21, 25-11, 25-16).decision to regular season champion Clarkson.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 7-23 and finish 3-9 in Liberty League play.
 
After dropping the first two sets against RIT, Skidmore battled back to win a tight third set 25-23. The Tigers regrouped to take the fourth set and the match 25-13.  Brittany Osborn had 12 kills and a pair of aces. Kalle Fox had 25 assists and seven digs, while Rachel Licata added five blocks (one solo). Marcela Familiar compiled a team-high 20 digs.
 
Against Clarkson, Aria Goodman had 11 kills and six digs. Fox chipped in 15 assists and eight digs.
 
Skidmore will close out the season next weekend with the team hosts the Skidmore Invitational. The Thoroughbreds open play on Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. against Potsdam.
