Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. --Â The Skidmore College men's basketball team used a 25-6 run over the first 11:40 in the second half to blow past Bard, 83-37 in a Liberty League contest, Friday night at the Williamson Sports Center.

The 46-point win marked Skidmore's largest margin of victory this season.

Leading 47-18 at the half, the Thoroughbreds (11-7, 5-4 Liberty) did not let up in the second half, extending their lead to 42 and putting the game away with 13 unanswered points to start the second.

Erik Sanders and
Connor Merrill tied for the game-high with 16 points, shooting 87.5-percent and 77.8-percent from the field respectively,
Tanner Brooks added 15 points and
Perun Kovacevic tallied 12 points.
Larry Cermak chipped in with six points, six boards and two blocks off the bench.

The two teams traded baskets in the opening minutes of play. The Raptors (5-11, 0-7) responded from an 8-0 Skidmore run with a 7-0 run of their own to cut the Thoroughbreds lead to three.

Skidmore put the game out of reach in the final nine minutes of the first, ending the half on a 26-2 run. The Thoroughbreds shot 69-percent from the field in the first half on 20-of-29 shooting and were 6-of-10 from three-point range. Sanders scored 10 points and five other Thoroughbreds added points in that stretch.

Skidmore shot 58.9-percent from the field on 33-of-56 shooting and was 10-of-24 (41.7%) from beyond the arc.

The Thoroughbreds travel to RPI Saturday, Feb. 1 for a 4 p.m. contest.
