Skidmore splits at Rochester

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team beat Oswego State 3-0 and lost 3-1 to SUNY New Paltz on the first day of the University of Rochester Invitational, Friday.
 
The Thoroughbreds (4-1) close out play on Saturday against host Rochester and St. John Fisher.
 
In the Oswego match, Skidmore won a tight first set 26-24, before rolling to 25-16, 25-20 wins for the 3-0 final. Aria Goodman had a double/double with 16 kills and 11 digs. Corinne Palmer added 12 kills and four blocks. Emma Wilberg chipped in 28 assists, while Marcela Familiar had 16 digs.
 
New Paltz handed the Thoroughbreds their first loss of the season 25-20, 23-25, 14-25, 21-25.  Goodman had 12 kills and eight digs and Familiar had 18 digs. Palmer had six blocks, two aces,  and eight kills.  Wilberg finished with 29 assists and seven digs.
