Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- An NCAA Division III golf tournament bid will be on the line this weekend when the Skidmore College golf team hosts the Liberty League championships Saturday and Sunday at the McGregor Links Country Club.
 
For the second year, the championships will be decided by match play between the top four finishers in last September's qualifier.  Skidmore is the top seed and will play #4 St. Lawrence, while #2 Rensselaer will play #3 Rochester.  The winners will play for the title on Sunday.  The tournament is open to the public, with action starting at 12:20 p.m. each day.
 
Skidmore is ranked 16th in the latest NCAA Division III national poll, while Rochester and Rensselaer received votes. The Thoroughbreds have won three tournaments this year.
 
Skidmore has won five straight Liberty League championships and 15 of 17 overall league titles.
