The Brewers gave Skidmore all it could handle, before the Thoroughbreds scored the game's final nine points for the win. The game featured 16 lead changes.
Aldin Medunjanin had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Skidmore. He went 8-11 from the floor, including 6-7 in the second half.

Skidmore led by one at the half, 30-29, despite shooting a dismal 3-15 from beyond the arc.
The teams continued to trade leads in the second half, before the Brooks hit a pair of free throws with 11:04 to play to put the Thoroughbreds in front for good, 46-45. The free throws were the start of a 9-0 run, capped by a Brooks three, that gave Skidmore a 53-45 lead with 9:02 to play.
Vassar stayed in it, getting to within two 58-56 on a pair of Smith free throws with 3:12 to play. Those would be the final points for the Brewers, who didn't score the rest of the way as Medunjanin and Merrill scored eight of the game's final nine points for the 67-56 win.

"First off, I would like to thank the fans for coming out and supporting our three great seniors Kevin Dahill, Sakhile Sithole and Miguel Santiago," said Skidmore coach Joe Burke. "We had a great crowd and those 3 guys deserve it
"I'm Extremely proud of this group pulling out what I thought was a tough victory. I thought Vassar played really well and we had to play a very good game to beat them.
"With eight new faces in the program, it is a tremendous accomplishment for this group to be heading back into the playoffs. It is a testament to the upperclassmen's leadership and the talent of our new additions."
