Volleyball earns Liberty League split

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team beat Bard College 3-0 to earn a Liberty League split on Saturday after a morning 3-1 loss to St. Lawrence at Vassar College.
 
The Thoroughbreds (7-11 overall, 1-5 Liberty League) started the day with a close 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 23-25, 24-26) loss to the Saints (14-5, 6-1).
 
Corinne Palmer had 12 kills and four blocks against St. Lawrence. Natalie Nagle added 10 kills and 10 digs, while Aria Goodman had 13 digs and two service aces. Emma Wilberg chipped in 33 assists, 12 digs and two aces. Marcela Familiar earned a team-high 15 digs.
 
Skidmore salvaged the day with the 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-13) win over Bard (2-19, 0-8). Palmer had a team-high 15 kills and .609 hitting percentage. Wilberg had 34 assists and Familiar had 12 digs. Clare Kenny had three aces.
 
The Thoroughbreds are at Middlebury College on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
