Volleyball splits Liberty matches

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team went 1-1 in Liberty League play on Saturday at Union College.
 
The Thoroughbreds started with an efficient 3-0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-13) win over Bard before a 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 22-25, 20-25) loss to Vassar.
 
Skidmore is 9-14 overall and 2-7 in league play.
 
The entire roster contributed to the Bard win. Corinne Palmer had 13 kills and nine digs to lead the way. Marcela Familiar added 13 digs and Emma Wilberg had 31 assists and eight digs.
 
Against Vassar, Natalie Nagle had a season-high 21 kills. Aria Goodman contributed 21 digs and nine kills. Wilberg had 50 assists and Clare Kenny had 16 digs. Familiar chipped in 21 digs and Palmer had 13 kills and 12 digs.
 
Skidmore returns to league action next weekend with three matches at the University of Rochester.
