Box Score 2 Schenectady, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team evened its record at 4-4 with a pair of wins Saturday in the Union College Invitational.
The Thoroughbreds cruised past Brockport 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-12) and Sage College 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-12).
Against Brockport,
Elise Finnerty had 11 kills and a .846 hitting percentage.
Corinne Palmer added 14 kills, a .650 hitting percentage and two blocks.
Mallory Mendelsohn contributed 37 assists and five digs, while
Sam Friedman had 24 of the team's 50 total digs.
In the Sage win, Mendelsohn had a double/double with 30 assists and 11 digs. Friedman had 20 digs, and Palmer chipped in 12 kills and a block.
Skidmore opens Liberty League play on Sept. 18 at Union in a 7 p.m. match.
