Mamaroneck, N.Y. - The Skidmore College golf team shot a second day 311 to beat out Middlebury by three strokes and win the NYU/Manhattanville Spring Invitational at Hampshire Country Club.
The Thoroughbreds shot a 310-311--621 to finish +53, three strokes better than second place Middlebury and four strokes better than Rochester, who took third.
Junior
Anthony DiLisio was the top finisher for Skidmore, shooting a 73-76--149, seven-over par to finish in a tie for second, one stroke behind Rochester's Nicholas Palladino.
Peter Anderson finished tied for 15th at +15, while
Zach Grossman was 20th at +16 and
Garrett Colgan tied for 21st at +17.
John McCarthy rounded out the Thoroughbreds' scoring with a 23-over par, tying for 49th.
Skidmore hosts the Palamountain Invitational this Saturday and Sunday at Saratoga State Park.
