Box Score Oneonta, N.Y.— Aldin Medunjanin and Connor Merrill combined for 43 points to lead the Skidmore College men's basketball team to a 66-63 win over SUNY Oneonta in a non-league game Tuesday night.

The Thoroughbreds have won five straight to improve to 5-1. The Red Dragons fall to 1-5.

Skidmore trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half, before closing the gap to four, 40-36, at the half. The Thoroughbreds shot 50% in the second half to pull away for the win.

Medunjanin led all scorers with 22 points to go along with eight rebounds, seven assists, and a steal. Merrill hit for 21 points and had seven rebounds and two blocks. Eli Johnston had 10 rebounds and seven points.

" I wasn't thrilled with our defensive energy to start the game," said Skidmore coach Joe Burke. "As a result Oneonta has some good shooters an they capitalized. I thought we tightened some things up in the 2nd half and as a result their percentages were down and we were able to get out in transition. It wasn't pretty but I was pleased we found a way to win in the end."

Skidmore travels to Middlebury College on Saturday for a 4 p.m. game.
