Schenectady, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team earned one of four Liberty League Tournament slots with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-8) win over RIT in a match played at Union College.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 7-3 in Liberty League play and 19-8 overall with the final league matches at home Saturday vs. St. Lawrence (11 a.m.) and Clarkson (2 p.m.).  The Tigers are 4-5 and 15-17.
 
The win completes the series sweep of RIT.
 
Kelley Vershbow had 10 kills, four blocks, and two blocks for the Thoroughbreds. Corinne Palmer had nine kills, three blocks, and a .571 hitting percentage,  while Mallory Mendelsohn had 30 assists and two service aces. Sam Friedman chipped-in 14 digs.
 
Skidmore had seven aces in the match.
 
The Liberty League Championship will take place at the regular-season champion's court on Nov. 3-4.
