Box Score

Hartford, Conn. – Trinity goaltender Wesley Vesprini (Lexington, Mass.) made 30 saves, allowing just one goal, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-1 victory over the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)/Easten College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East men's ice hockey action this afternoon at Williams Rink.

Trinity improves to 3-5-2 overall and 2-4 in the NESCAC while Skidmore falls to 3-8-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the ECAC East.

After a scoreless first period, Trinity opened up the second frame with a goal by senior Matthew Quigley (Pittsburg, Pa.), which gave the Bantams a 1-0 advantage that they would carry with them heading into the third period. Less than a minute into the final frame, junior Sean McCarthy (Duxbury, Mass.) scored to give the Bantams a 2-0 cushion which would prove handy, as Skidmore answered soon after, with a goal courtesy of senior Hunter Thayer (Shelburne, Vt.).
