Saratoga Springs, N.Y.— The Skidmore College men's basketball team will take a break from its Liberty League schedule to host fifth ranked Williams College, Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Williamson Sports Center. There is no admission charge for Skidmore games.
The 9-6 Thoroughbreds are home after four straight road games. The Ephs are 17-1 after a weekend blowout wins over Conn College (91-52) and Wesleyan (82-63).
Skidmore continues to use a balanced offense with five players averaging nine or more points per game. Junior
Melvis Langyintuo leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 11.3 points and 5.8 boards per game. Junior guard
Gerard O'Shea (West Sand Lake, N.Y./Averill Park) is averaging 11.0 points and 3.9 assists, while senior guard
Jeff Altimar is scoring 10.5 points per game.

Terron Victoria (Albany, N.Y./Bishop Maginn) is adding 9.5 points and a team-high 2.0 steals and junior guard
Brian Lowry is averaging 9.0 points.
Williams, one of the nation's top small college programs, lost in the 2010 NCAA Division III championship game. The lone loss for this year's team is a 92-89 overtime decision at Amherst College. The Ephs are averaging 84.2 points per game, outscoring opponents by 23.7 points per game. Williams is 3-0 against Liberty League teams with wins against Rensselaer (89-73), Vassar (92-44), and Hamilton (79-56).
Junior guard James Wang (17.9) and senior center Troy Whittington (16.7) lead the Ephs in scoring. Whittington is also the team's leading rebounder with 9.3 per game.
This is Skidmore's final non-league game. The Thoroughbreds are back to Liberty League play on Friday at home against Vassar in an 8 p.m. game.
