Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College volleyball team won the 2010 Skidmore Volleyball Classic after posting a 4-0 record in the five team, two-day event at the Williamson Sports Center. Senior Meredith Palmer and Mallory Mendelsohn were selected to the All-Tournament Team with Palmer earning MVP honors.
Skidmore posted a 3-1 win over St. Michael's (25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23) and a 3-0 win over St. Lawrence (25-14, 27-25, 25-15) on Saturday after a pair of 3-0 wins over Cazenovia (25-9, 25-12, 25-14), Hunter (25-13, 25-11, 25-21) on Friday.

Sam Friedman had a team-high 13 digs. For Cazenovia, Jessica Converse totaled 13 digs, Noelle Sippel had 12 assists and Megan Pomarico recorded seven kills at a .538 hitting percentage.

The Saints were led by 12 kills and five digs from Nyasha Miller. Lauren Drozysnski and Marta Johann each tallied seven kills and Katie Prue finished with eight digs and six service aces in the win.

For the Saints, Katherine Pierce tallied 18 digs, Nyasha Miller had 17 digs, Liz Grogan recorded 13 kills and Abby Rose finished with 30 assists.

For Hunter, Christine Luebcke (16 digs, 13 kills) and Mallory Grubler (19 digs, 12 kills) each had a double-double.
