Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Skidmore College volleyball team defeated Cazenovia College 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-19) Wednesday night at the Sports and Recreation Center.
The Thoroughbreds improved to 6-3, while the Wildcats fall to 4-7.
Skidmore took the first two sets easily by scores of 25-9 and 25-10 but had to battle in the third set to win 25-18.
Junior
Meredith Palmer (Montvale, N.J.) led Skidmore with 10 kills, a .588 kill percentage and two blocks. Fellow junior
Becca Ormsby (Charlton, N.Y.) had 16 assists, nine digs and three aces. Sophomore
Amanda Turpin (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) had six kills to go along with five digs for the Thoroughbreds.
Skidmore returns to action this weekend at the Hamilton Invitational.
