Alex Mykolenko (Kharkov, Ukraine) scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season and freshman
Colin Bessey (Montclair, N.J.) made 28 saves to lead the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds to a 5-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in men's ice hockey action this evening at Williams Rink.
Skidmore improves their season record to 12-9-2 with the win, while Trinity falls to 15-7 on the year.

Hunter Thayer (Shelburne, Vt.) scored a goal with 11 seconds remaining in the first period to give the Thoroughbreds a 1-0 lead. Skidmore opened the second period the way they ended it, scoring a minute into the period, Mykolenko's first of two on the evening.
The Thoroughbreds would increase their lead to 4-0 in the second period on goals from sophomore
Brett Bandazian (Wyckoff, N.J.) and sophomore
Joe Melnyk (Rotterdam, N.Y.). Mykolenko added his second goal of the night with just four minutes remaining in the game.
Trinity senior William Burns (Livonia, Mich.) prevented Bessey from shutting out the Bantams, with the only Trinity goal of the night, coming with just 24 seconds remaining in the game. Sophomore Derek Sandberg (St. Lazare, Quebec) collected the lone assist for the Bantams.
Skidmore will play their last regular season game Saturday afternoon at Wesleyan starting at 3 p.m.
