Troy, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College volleyball team split matches in the Sage Invitational Saturday. The Thoroughbreds opened with a 3-1 (23-25,25-19,25-18,26-24) to Brockport and came back for a 3-0 (25-13,25-23,25-21) win over Sage.

Skidmore is 17-6.

In the Brockport match, Kelley Vershbow had 13 kills and Meredith Palmer had 11 kills and five blocks. Lauren Dinsdale added 21 digs, while Carolyn Bottelier had 11 digs, two aces, and five kills.

Against Sage, Vershbow had 11 kills, while Palmer was steady again with 11 kills and three blocks. Dinsdale had 13 digs and Becca Ormsby had 22 assists, three aces, and a block. Mallory Mendelsohn contributed 10 assists, three kills, two aces, and a block,

The Thoroughbreds will host the Skidmore Classic Oct. 23-24.
