Volleyball goes 3-1 at Cortland

Cortland, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team went 3-1 at the Cortland Red Dragon Invitational. The Thoroughbreds opened with a 3-0 win over Baptist Bible and the dropped a tough 3-1 contest to Lebanon Valley on Friday.
 
The team regrouped on Saturday to post a pair of impressive wins. Skidmore shut down the University of Rochester 3-0 and then came-from-behind to beat Fredonia 3-2.
 
Outside hitter Erica Duncanwas selected to the all-tournament team for her outstanding play. She averaged 4.47 kills and 3.60 digs per game.
 
Lisa Jasienowskihad a team-high 10 blocks in four games. Becca Ormsbyaveraged 10.15 assists per game and Lauren Dinsdalehad 6.67 digs per game.
 
Skidmore (3-1) will compete in the Union Invitational, Sept. 12-13.
