Bennington, Vt.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team came from behind to beat Southern Vermont College 76-71, Tuesday night. The Thoroughbreds improve to 2-1 with the win.
Skidmore scored 25 points off 21 SVC turnovers, including 19 points off turnovers in the second half. The Thoroughbreds came from six points down in the second for the win. Skidmore shot 71 percent from the line, hitting 26 of 37 free throws, including 14 of 19 in the second half.
Sophomore
Jeff Altimar led four Thoroughbreds in double figures with 14 points. Junior
Bobby Langford added 11 points and six rebounds. Freshman
Gerard O'Shea scored 10 points and had six assists, while junior
Jon Douglas contributed 10 points (7-8 from the free throw line).
The Thoroughbreds play Lycoming College in the first round of the University of Rochester Flower City Classic on Nov. 29.
