Henniker, NH – New England College's Emil Alengard (Linkoping, Sweden) would net both goals lifting the Pilgrims past the visiting Skidmore College Thoroughbreds 2-0 Saturday afternoon. With the win the Pilgrims improve to 2-0-0 on the season, while the loss drops the Thoroughbreds to 0-2-0 overall.

The two teams continued to battle back-and-forth throughout the second period as neither team would muster a goal and the Pilgrims would head into the final period holding on to the 1-0 lead.

Skidmore would have several opportunities in the final period out shooting NEC 13-7 but Alengard would net an open-netter with 29 seconds remaining in regulation giving the Pilgrims the 2-0 victory.
