Kyle Lancto was promoted to Associate Director, Athletic Communications and Marketing at Skidmore College in March 2024, after spending the previous two and a half years as the Athletic Communications and Marketing Manager.

In his role, Lancto oversees the communications and publicity for Skidmore’s 19 varsity programs, including game-day coverage, sports information and statistics, web coordination, social media management, and photography for all 19 varsity programs, in addition to intramural sports and related athletics events.
Lancto was honored on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class of 2024.The same year, he was selected as a participant in the inaugural NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program in Indianapolis.

Prior to joining Skidmore, Lancto was an athletic communications graduate assistant at Vermont State University Castleton, where he served as the primary media contact for 12 different sports. His career in sports information began as a student assistant and later as an intern at SUNY Cortland while he was an undergraduate. He also previously served as the assistant general manager of the Albany Dutchmen, a collegiate summer baseball team, where he managed the organization's publicity, community outreach, and game-day operations.

Lancto graduated from Cortland in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, concentrating in Sports Media & Technology, and minoring in History. He earned his master’s in Athletic Leadership – Administration from Castleton in 2020.

A member of College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) since 2018, Lancto serves on the Career Services Committee and the Academic All-America Committee. He has also volunteered as a judge for the CSC Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest.

In addition to his work with CSC, Lancto was a member of the media relations team at the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Regional in Albany, and he has served as the on-site media contact for the 2018 Little East Conference Field Hockey Championship, the 2023 Liberty League Baseball Championship, the 2024 Liberty League Baseball Championship, and the 2024 ITA Women’s Northeast Regional Championship.

A native of Rotterdam, New York, Lancto currently resides in Scotia with his wife, Elizabeth.
