Skidmore College Athletics

Steve Frye re-joins Skidmore softball in 2025-26 as a volunteer assistant coach. Over a 31-year scholastic career at Candor (N.Y.) High School, Frye collected 300 total varsity baseball and softball wins including a sectional baseball championship, as well as guided his softball squads to six sectional berths. He earned ESPN Radio 1160 Area Coach-of-the-Year honors in both softball (2018) and bowling (2014). A 2012 inductee into the Binghamton Area STABL Hall of Fame, he has also mentored dozens of future college players with the TC Tremors 18U Gold travel team.
