Skidmore softball head coach Liz Neubinksi added Allie Clifford as an assistant coach ahead of the 2024 season.
 
Clifford, a Clifton Park native, has been the head coach of the Frozen Ropes Albany 18U Showcase team for the past four seasons. There, she is responsible for guided instruction in rules, techniques, and tactics to area student-athletes in softball. She also plans, organizes, directs, and attends practices and games.
 
Clifford, a Shenendehowa High School grad, played softball collegiately at Cazenovia College and Plattsburgh State. She was a career .314 hitter across 72 collegiate games with nine home runs, 45 RBI, and 47 runs scored. As a freshman at Cazenovia in 2018, Clifford was an All-North Atlantic Conference Second Team honoree after hitting .363 with five homers and 21 RBI. She was also a member of the Wildcat volleyball team. Clifford captained the 2021 Plattsburgh team that went 7-9.
 
Clifford earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies and disorderly human behavior from Plattsburgh State.
