Skidmore College Athletics

Since taking over at Skidmore in 2011-12, Dave has proved to be exceptional at mentoring divers while elevating their abilities on the boards.  Dave has coached many divers to top eight finishes at Liberty League championships, qualified several divers to NCAA Regionals and coached Skidmore’s only All-American diver Douglas Pilawa who finished 9th on both 1 and 3 meter at NCAA championships in 2012.

In addition to coaching at Skidmore, Dave has also worked with different high schools in the area qualifying 11 divers to NYS championships.  One of those recent qualifiers is Conor Compton, a two-time high school All-American currently a four-time collegiate All-American for Alfred State.

Prior to his time at Skidmore, Dave had a successful tenure in Seattle coaching club and high school.  As the diving coach at Garfield High School, he consistently scored divers, both girls and boys in the top six in the state.  Dave dove at Hartwick College where he regularly finished top eight at the UNYSCSA championships.
