Scott Berliner joined the Skidmore College men's golf staff in September 2015.
In his first season, Berliner helped the Thoroughbreds as they came from behind to win the 2016 Liberty League Championship. It was the ninth Liberty League and 18th overall UCAA/Liberty League title for the Thoroughbreds who played in the program's 29th NCAA tournament.
In 2016-2017, Berliner and the Thoroughbreds broke into the upper echelon of the golfstat.com national rankings, landing in the top-20 for the first time since 2013. Skidmore finished 17th in the final golfstat.com poll of the season, 19th in the GCAA final national poll, and was the top-ranked team in the Northeast region in the NCAA polls. Senior Mackenzie Nelson became the 30th All-American in program history, and the first since 2013.
Berliner is a well-decorated PGA professional, winning six consecutive NENY PGA Player of the Year awards from 2011-2016, and nine NENY PGA Assistant Player of the Year honors (2007-2012, 2014, 2015, 2016). He is the all-time leading Major winner in the NENY PGA.
Berliner is currently an Assistant Golf Professional at the Hiland Golf Club in Queensbury, N.Y., a position he's held since April 2015. He also served as an assistant golf pro at McGregor Links Country Club in 2014.
