Nicole Winchell helped lead the University of Albany to the program’s first America East Championship and was a large contributor to Albany’s success over her four year career. A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she amassed 82 career points (33 goals, 16 assists) to rank eighth in the program for all-time points and seventh in goals. Currently, Winchell currently plays for New York City FHC of the United States Field Hockey League and the North East Field Hockey Association. While at NYCFHC, she led her team to championship appearances in the 2015 and 2016 seasons, winning the league title in 2017. Recently,
she scored the game-winning goal in the USFHL National Championship game, lifting NYCFHC to a 2018 title. She's also a two-time Minuteman's Indoor Cup MVP (2017, 2018).
Winchell began coaching during her college career. She coached local student-athletes from the ADK field hockey club. She joined the Skidmore staff in 2010.
