Ali Harris joined the Skidmore College field hockey coaching at the start of the 2021 season.
She brings to Skidmore 11 years of Division 1 and club-level coaching experience, a spontaneous and creative energy, and unapologetically high expectations for the elevation of the already high-achieving Thoroughbred program.Â
Harris, who spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Division I University at Albany, has been working with the Skidmore program for the past several seasons as a goalkeeping specialist.
Prior to Albany, she spent seven seasons as the goalkeeping specialist at Cornell University. Harris has mentored several All-America East and All-Ivy selections, including Albany All-American Melissa Nealon who was the 2018 America East Co-Goalie of the Year.
Harris began her career as a volunteer coach at Lock Haven University, while completing her undergraduate degree after a successful playing career, helping LHU to two Northeast Conference championships and four regular season titles.
She was Director of Goalkeeping at the nation's premier club, WC Eagles and started the Ultimate Defender Goalkeeper Academy.
