ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Skidmore College riding team delivered an impressive performance at Zone 2 Finals, earning a first-place finish with 42 points in the highly competitive show.

The Open riders led the way over fences, with Isa Jensen '27 placing 3rd individually and 4th in the team competition, while Lillard Preschlack '26 added a 5th place individual finish. In Intermediate fences, Ian Gaudio '28 secured 3rd for the team. The Limit riders continued to contribute valuable points, with Ani McIntyre '27 earning 3rd in team Limit Fences and Ellie Hoyt '26 placing 9th individually.

On the flat, Skidmore riders delivered standout performances. In the Limit Flat, Ian Gaudio earned 2nd in the team competition. In the Intermediate Flat, Preschlack placed 2nd individually to qualify for nationals, while Ani McIntyre captured 1st in the team competition. In the Open Flat, Isa Jensen placed 5th individually and won the team class.

The Novice and Introductory divisions proved especially successful for Skidmore. Stella Allen '27 won the Individual Novice division, qualifying for nationals, while Isa Washburne '29 placed 2nd in the Team Novice class. Catherine Epstein '26 also claimed an individual victory in Introductory Equitation to qualify for nationals, and Nila Rothman '27 secured 1st place in the Team Introductory division.

With multiple national qualifiers and a decisive team victory, Skidmore looks ahead to nationals as they continue their strong postseason run.
