A PEAK AT THE THOROUGHBREDS:
Skidmore will look to improve upon its fourth-place showing at last year's championship, and the Thoroughbreds are an experienced squad with four of the team's golfers from the 2025 championship back in the lineup. As a team, they are receiving votes in the most recent Bushnell/Golfweek Preseason Poll (April 17). As a team, Skidmore posted four top-four finishes this season, including a tie for third at its own Dr. Tim Brown Invitational. Sophomore Johnny Hwang is the Thoroughbreds' top returning golfer from the 2025 conference championship, where he placed ninth with a score of 182 (+2). At Tim Brown, he tied for 12th, compiling a two-day score of 147 (73-74). Sophomore Patrick McLaughlin is another key returner for the Thoroughbreds. He finished 21st at the 2025 championship with a 191 (77-39-75). This season, he was second on the team at Farmingdale State's Spring Invitational, carding a 144 over two rounds to finish 22nd in a field of 96 golfers. He also recorded a top-20 finish at the Port City Classic in Savannah, Georgia (T-19th, 223—77-74-72). Sophomore Rudraksha Banerjee is also back; he paced the team at their last two tournaments with a pair of top-five finishes. At Tim Brown, he tied for second with a two-day score of 142 (71-71), and at Farmingdale State, he tied for third, shooting a two-under 68 in the opening round and a two-over 72 on day two for an even-par 140. Last year, he tied for tenth at the league championship with a three-day score of 183 (71-35-77).
