Thoroughbreds finish sixth at FSC Spring Invitational

Rudraksha Banerjsee tied for third place.
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Skidmore College golf team shot a 294 in tough conditions on Sunday and finished sixth out of 16 teams at the FSC Spring Invitational at the Bethpage Red Course.
  • Rudraksha Banerjee closed with a fury. He birdied three holes in a row on the back-9 to finish with a 72 and tie for third.
  • Patrick McLaughlin was 22nd with a 3-over 73 on Sunday with birdies on No. 5 and No. 15 – both par 5s.
  • Tate Esler finished with a 74 featuring 14 pars, including nine in a row from 9-17. He tied for 67th.
  • Jaden Cheng finished in 36th. He shot a 75 in the second round.
  • Campbell Jenkins matched Esler with a team-high 14 pars and a 74 to finish 63rd as an individual.
