FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Skidmore College golf team is in seventh after an opening-round 285 at the FSC Spring Invitational and the Bethpage Red Course. All 16 teams finished at 300 or better.

• Rudraksha Banerjee shot a 2-under 68. After bogey on the first, he played holes 2-through-16 at 5-under par. He's in a tie for seventh.
• Patrick McLaughlin is in 25^th. He shot a 1-over 72 with four birdies on his card.
• Jaden Cheng is one back of his after a 74 featuring a pair of birdie-2s.
• Johnny Hwang rounded out the scoring for the Thoroughbreds with a 74.
• Babson combined for a 7-under 273 team score and lead Babson by four. Its Chad Tordone is in the solo lead after a 5-under 65.
