Mallory Allen tossed a complete-game gem in game one and the bats came alive in game two as the Skidmore College softball team swept its second day at THE Spring Games with a 5-1 victory over Juniata and a 10-2 triumph over Lasell.

Game 1 – Skidmore 5, Juniata 1
- Skidmore scored four runs in the fifth inning to pull away for a 5-1 victory.
- Nate' Burley went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBI and a walk to lead the Thoroughbreds offensively.
- Madison Bonham doubled and drove in two runs.
- Mallory Allen earned the complete-game win, allowing one run on seven hits with seven strikeouts. It's a career high in strikeouts.
- After the starters traded zeros to start, the Thoroughbreds opened the scoring in the fourth inning when Burley and Natalie Mayne doubled back-to-back.
- Skidmore (2-2) broke the game open in the fifth inning. Allen singled, Lulu Mickle reached on an error and Sam Waters bunted for a single to load the bases.
- Burley followed with a two-run single up the middle and Bonham added another RBI to extend the lead to 5-0.
- Juniata scored its lone run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, but Skidmore turned it into a double play when Mickle, the cut off, fired back to second base to double off the runner.
- Skidmore finished with nine hits and committed no errors.

Game 2 – Skidmore 10, Lasell 2
- Skidmore scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to break open the game and secure the 10-2 victory.
- The Thoroughbreds finished with 15 hits in the contest.
- Mayne led the offense, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.
- Elle Harrison added three hits and three stolen bases.
- Sam Waters hit an inside-the-park homer and drove in two runs.
- Rachel Monser earned the win, allowing two runs (one earned) over 5.1 innings with four strikeouts.
- Skidmore scored first in the second inning when Mayne doubled and later came home on a Cortney Somsky groundout.
- The Thoroughbreds added a run in the fourth to tie it up and two more in the fifth to build a 4-2 lead.
- Shayne Cleeve recorded the final five outs to close the game and earn the save. She came in with the bases loaded and only one out in the sixth before inducing a pair of soft pop ups to wiggle out of it.
- Lasell scored both of its runs in the second inning but was held scoreless the rest of the way.
- The Laser appeared to have taken a 3-1 lead in the second, but a catch by Caitlyn Dion at the top of the fence in foul territory turned into a double play on appeal.
- Dion and Mickle delivered run-scoring singles in Skidmore's five-hit sixth inning before Waters found the gap in right-center and came all the way around for a two-run inside-the-park home run. The big inning was also aided by four Lasell errors.

Following a day off on Tuesday, the Thoroughbreds will come back to play Suffolk and Rhode Island College on Wednesday starting at 9 a.m.
