TROY, N.Y. – Five Skidmore College student-athletes won four Liberty League weekly awards for the week ending March 30.
Tate Esler was named the Men's Golf Performer of the Week,
Lulu Mickle repeated as the Softball Rookie of the Week,
Nika Mori and
Fletcher King won the Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week award, and
Ege Topbas was selected as the Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week.

Tate Esler (Jr., Westfield, New Jersey) – Liberty League Men's Golf Performer of the Week
Esler finished 12th at the Swarthmore Invitational that concluded Monday afternoon, with a three-round score of 223 (+10). Esler was second in the field with 36 pars to go with the sixth-fewest bogies in the tournament. He shot a 72 in the third round to crack the top 15.

Lulu Mickle (#15, Fr., IF, Baltimore, Maryland) – Liberty League Softball Rookie of the Week
Mickle went 9-for-17 (.529) at the plate across six games for the Thoroughbreds with two doubles, five RBI, and seven runs scored. She was also 5-for-5 in stolen-base attempts while recording four put outs and 15 assists at the hot corner.

Nika Mori/Fletcher King – Liberty League Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Skidmore's No. 1 doubles team captured a pair of victories over the weekend to help lead No. 37 Skidmore to wins over TCNJ and No. 38 Stevens. They took down Maitland-Carter/Wong of TCNJ in an exciting 7-4 tiebreaker on Saturday and then won on another tiebreaker over Kramin/Kanz of Stevens on Saturday. Â

Ege Topbas (Fr., Istanbul, Turkey) – Liberty League Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Topbas went 2-0 over the weekend for the Thoroughbreds at No. 4 singles to stretch his winning streak to eight in a row in singles. He won both matches in straight sets and dropped only four games in the process. He also went 2-0 in doubles over the weekend with matching 6-4 wins with his partner
Kyle Lundberg in the No. 2 slot.

Michael Aiello (#18, So., A, Rockville Centre, New York) – Liberty League Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Aiello had two goals and two assists for four points to lead the Thoroughbred offensive end on Saturday against No. 7 RIT. It was his sixth multi-goal game of the year and fourth contest of at least four points.

Jude Avelino Jr. (#39, Sr., D, Summit, New Jersey) - Liberty League Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Avelino tallied 12 ground balls and nine caused turnovers over two games last week for the No. 18 Thoroughbred squad. He had four ground balls and four caused turnovers Wednesday at Trinity, and then produced season highs in both caused turnovers (5) and ground balls (8) on Saturday against No. 7 RIT.

Brooke LaVallee (#5, Sr., D, Longmeadow, Massachusetts) - Liberty League Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll
LaValle played a crucial role on both ends of the field for the Thoroughbreds over the weekend. She racked dup five caused turnovers across the two games with five ground balls and nine draw controls – including six on Saturday in the win over Bard. She posted three caused turnovers and three draw controls Friday against nationally 23
rd-ranked St. John Fisher. On the offensive end, she had a goal and two assists.

Natalie Mayne (#19, Sr., OF/P, Fayetteville, New York) – Liberty League Softball Honor roll
Mayne went 8-for-17 (.471) at the plate across six games for the Thoroughbreds with a team-best eight RBI as well as five doubles, a homer, and five runs scored. She also walked four times, finishing the week with a .591 on-base percentage and added a pair of stolen bases. In three appearances in the circle, she pitched to a 3.50 ERA across 10 innings and earned her first win of the season in Skidmore's game-two win over Plattsburgh on Sunday.
