Quotes from Head Coach Manny Valentin:
On the women
"Really excited to be working with this group of athletes. While we did graduate an excellent senior class, I've been truly impressed with how the Class of 2026 has taken the lead. Captains Norah Jankey and Camilla Johnson have really set the tone in terms of the values, standards, and behaviors expected out of the team.

We have had a whole bunch of athletes come out of last year's 2V (Charlotte Taylor, Grady Vermilye, Ava Holthoff, Ella Plosky, Cam High) to fill out seats in the 1V and as a result, continue to train at a high level. And the seniors in the 2V – Harper Staton-Todaro, Madison Lofmark, Lila Glanville – help our younger athletes as they continue to develop.

And most importantly – They are constantly looking for "the next challenge." They don't seem content with where they are. While our season is short in terms of time (32 days between our first race and the league championships), a lot can happen and and we're excited for the process."

On the men
"Our men's team this year is incredibly deep, with 12 guys vying for the top boat. 5 guys return to the 1V, led by Sam van Adrichem Boogaert and Thomas du Four. Captain Grant Steinberger holds the team to a high standard.

Our 2V has put several first years into the fire right away, but they are eager to race and improve. We have a challenging race schedule and this team is ready to make the leap. They are training at higher levels than previous years, and that's encouraging considering our program high 2nd place finish at Liberty Leagues last year.

It's been really fun to coach this group – They truly embody our team values – They are accountable, they improve, and they are excellent teammates. It's everything a rowing coach can ask for. Now the challenge is to put it all together on race day."
