TROY, N.Y. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Two Skidmore College lacrosse players and a hockey player were recognized by their conferences with awards on Monday.
Michael Aiello was named the Liberty League Men's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week, and
Piper Morgan was selected as the Women's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week. For the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC),
Ryan Stratton was selected as the Rookie of the Week.

Joey Skoric (men's basketball) were recognized on the Liberty League Honor Roll for the week ending Feb. 22.

Michael Aiello (#18, So., A, Rockville Centre, New York) – Liberty League Men's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week
Over two season-opening wins for Skidmore, Aiello tallied nine goals and eight assists for 17 total points. The sophomore scored five with four helpers as Skidmore opened the season with a 23-6 win over Hartwick on Tuesday. Then, he scored four more times with another four assists in a tight 14-11 Thoroughbred win at MIT. Aiello scored on 9-of-11 shots on goal he took and collected one caused turnover and one ground ball.

Piper Morgan (#20, Fr., Winhall, Vermont) – Liberty League Women's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week
Morgan tied a program record with nine goals as she led the Thoroughbreds to a 16-7 season-opening win over Smith on Saturday. She scored on nine out of her 12 shots on goal, and was credited with the game-winning goal in addition to two ground balls, a caused turnover, and a draw control in an impressive collegiate debut.

Ryan Stratton (#21, Fr., F, Camillus, New York) – SUNYAC Rookie of the Week
Stratton led the Thoroughbreds to a 4-3 overtime win at Canton on Friday night when the first-year scored a hat trick including the overtime game winner to take down the Kangaroos. He then added an assist in the win over Potsdam on Friday night to finish the weekend with four points for Skidmore in the road sweep to complete the regular season and earn the team the No. 3 seed.

Michael Dearborn (#32, So., D, North Reading, Massachusetts) – Liberty League Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Dearborn tallied five caused turnovers and three ground balls across a pair of games, both wins, for Skidmore to begin the season last week. He caused one turnover in Tuesday's 23-6 season-opening win over Hartwick before finishing Saturday's win at MIT with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Joey Skoric (#14, Sr., F/C, Ridgewood, New Jersey) – Liberty League Men's Basketball Honor Roll
Skoric scored 21 points with 12 rebounds and three blocks on Friday night at Ithaca to lead the Thoroughbreds to a 91-83 victory over the Bombers. For the weekend, Skoric averaged 13.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks while shooting 50 percent (9-of-18) from the field and 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the free-throw line.
