D’Amore, Gonzalez named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Skidmore College field hockey team had a pair of student-athletes named National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Scholars of Distinction, as announced by the organization on Friday morning. Senior Anna D'Amore and junior Auriel Gonzalez represented Skidmore on the prestigious list.
 
With 543 exceptional student-athletes selected, this honor acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
 
D'Amore was one of the 132 honorees who have earned this distinction for the fourth consecutive year.
 
Next up are a pair of prestigious Division III academic awards yet to be unveiled. Firstly is the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 17, before concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 19.
