Skidmore men’s soccer promotes Gunty to associate head coach

| By:
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Skidmore College head men's soccer coach Brad Campion is proud to announce the promotion of Ethan Gunty to associate head coach, recognizing his tremendous growth, commitment, and impact on the program over the past three seasons.

"Ethan has earned this opportunity through his work, dedication, and growth over the last three seasons," Campion said. "He has taken ownership of so many important aspects of our program and has consistently shown that he can be trusted to lead, make important decisions, and help our student-athletes grow both on and off the field.

"Just as importantly, he has remained a committed supportive coach to me and our student-athletes. This promotion reflects the impact he has made and the confidence I have in him moving forward."

This promotion comes from Gunty consistently demonstrating the qualities and responsibilities expected of a head coach. From recruiting and training session planning to film analysis, alumni engagement, and student-athlete development, Ethan has proven himself in every aspect of the role.

"Having known Ethan since he was 14 years old, I am personally incredibly proud of the coach, mentor, and person he has grown into. Watching his journey and now seeing the way he approaches his work and invests the necessary time for us to be successful has been incredibly powerful. His work ethic and impact extend beyond Skidmore, as he continues to play an active role in the youth soccer community through Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club. His commitment to creating positive experiences for young athletes speaks volumes about the kind of coach he is."

Ethan's promotion reflects both what he has accomplished and the continued leadership he will bring to Skidmore men's soccer. We are excited to recognize his contributions and looks forward to his continued impact on the team, the college, and the broader soccer community.
