ROME, Ga. – Four Skidmore College student-athletes will compete at this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup, beginning Thursday morning at the Rome Tennis Center.

On the men's side, Yuval Goodman and Ege Topbas will compete in singles. For the women, Ginevra Muratori and Nandini Chandra are in the doubles draw after winning the ITA Northeast Regional. Muratori will also compete in singles for the second year in a row.

Goodman, the ITA Northeast Regional runner up, will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' Sibi Raja in the round of 16. Topbas, a regional semifinalist, will open against second-ranked Adamantios Stavrakas of Johns Hopkins University. Goodman's opening round match is at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Topbas's is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Muratori has Karina Elvestrom from Gustavus Adolphus College as a first-round singles opponent Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Then, at 5 p.m., Muratori and Chandra will play Maya Diyasheva and Ahone Chowdhury of Carnegie Mellon University in the doubles round of 16.

Dating back to 1986, the ITA Cup is one of the most storied tournaments across the Division II, Division III, NAIA, and JUCO levels of play. Student-athletes earn spots in the ITA Cup through the ITA Small College Regional Championships, which is a nationwide competition that sees over 8,000 student-athletes compete across 60 Regional Championships around the United States.

At the ITA Cup, each division (Division III, NAIA, and JUCO) will have its own singles and doubles brackets. If players win, they will continue within the main draw until a national champion is crowned within that draw. Each player is guaranteed at least three matches while at the ITA Cup, with the back draw feeding into a compass draw.

Draws and results can be found on the ITA Cup Tournament Page, which will be updated as matches conclude on court. Outdoor courts 11-16 and 20-25, as well as each of the six indoor courts, will have live streaming at the Rome Tennis Center Live Streaming page.
