Skidmore in 11th after two rounds at Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Skidmore College golf team is in 11th place after two rounds of play at the Williams Fall Invitational at the Taconic Golf Course. Skidmore shot team rounds of 310 and 304 as all players went around twice on Saturday.
  • With a round still to play on Sunday, the Thoroughbreds are in the middle of the pack and just four back of eighth-place Middlebury and Rensselaer.
  • Babson leads the team race by seven, while Nick Smith of Williams shot a 6-under 65 in the second round and leads by one shot.
  • For Skidmore Patrick McLaughlin is tied for 22nd with rounds of 75 and 76. He had four birdies in round two.
  • Rudraksha Banerjee is in a tie for 27th. In his 72 In the second round, the sophomore played his first 13 holes (18-12) at 2-under. Banerjee improved eight shots from round one to round two.
  • Derek Thomas (78-77) is tied for 44th, while fellow first-year Jaden Cheng (77-79) is tied for 50th.
