SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team kicks off its 2025-26 season this weekend when it travels to the Middlebury Invitational for a two-day tournament in Vermont.
THE SCHEDULE AHEAD
After Middlebury, Skidmore will serve as the host institution for the ITA Regionals Oct. 3-5. The Thoroughbreds round out the fall portion of the schedule one week later when they host the Skidmore Open both at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.
The season picks up again in the spring with dual matches leading to the Liberty League Tournament in May. Skidmore will have home league matches in the spring against Hobart, RIT, Union, and Ithaca.
LIBERTY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
Reis Tennis Center at Cornell University in Ithaca will again serve as host for the championship tournament May 1-3. Skidmore will be seeking its 16
th conference title.
RETURNING
The Thoroughbreds welcome back five players to this season's roster, including 2025 All-Liberty League member in both singles and doubles,
Yuval Goodman. Goodman and
Nika Mori were Skidmore's representatives on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
The program also welcomes back
Griffin Biernat as a student assistant coach.
INCOMING
Skidmore adds three first-year players to the roster for the 2025-26 campaign.
PROGRAM HISTORY
Skidmore has won 15 conference titles, most recently in 2021. The Thoroughbreds have been crowned champions in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005-06, 2008-09, 2011-12, 2013-17, 2019, and 2021. Skidmore has produced 29 All-Americans and have made it to at least the conference semifinal match in each of the 21 championship tournaments played since 2004.
