NORMAN, Okla. – The Skidmore College men's golf team earned the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, as announced by the GCAA on Tuesday afternoon.
Finishing the 2024-25 academic year with a stellar 3.80 team GPA, the Thoroughbreds were one of 24 Division III programs to receive the Presidents Special Recognition, given to teams with an average GPA of 3.5 or above.
In total, 129 programs across five divisions received the Presidents Sports Recognition and a GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award.
Harvard (NCAA Division I), Findlay (NCAA Division II), Bowdoin (NCAA Division III), SCAD Savannah (NAIA), Iowa Western (NJCAA Division I), Southwestern (IA) (NJCAA Division II), and Alabama State (HBCU) were all named 2024-25 Academic National Champions for finishing with the top GPA in their respective divisions.
