Donald, Dhull/Truong win Liberty League awards; Siegel on Honor Roll

TROY, N.Y. – Ewen Donald from the Skidmore College baseball team was selected as the Liberty League Performer of the Week, while the senior pair of Konika Dhull and Grace Truong were chosen as the Liberty League Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week. Additionally, baseball pitcher Chase Siegel was recognized on the Honor Roll for the week ending May 4.

Ewen Donald (#20, Sr., OF, Kimberton, PA) – Liberty League Baseball Performer of the Week
Donald went 8-for-10 (.800) in his return to the lineup for the Thoroughbreds over three games last week with five runs scored, a double, and two RBI. In the crossover sweep of Rochester, Donald went 6-for-8, including a perfect 4-for-4 game one, to extend his program-best hitting streak to 29 games. He also had a big outfield assist in the first game against Rochester, gunning down a runner at the plate, to help preserve Skidmore's lead.

Konika Dhull/Grace Truong – Liberty League Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Skidmore's top doubles team went 2-0 at the championship tournament over the weekend. In Skidmore's sweep of No. 42 Union in the semifinal, they won 6-4 over Alexis/Meidani. They then defeated #28 Vassar's top pair of McCusker/Shen in dominant fashion, 6-1, to help the Thoroughbreds earn the doubles point before ultimately falling to the Brewers for the title.

Chase Siegel (#34, So., P, Westport, Connecticut) – Liberty League Baseball Honor Roll
Siegel tossed a complete game (seven innings) against Rochester in the first game of the Skidmore's crossover sweep of the Yellowjackets. The sophomore surrendered only one earned run while scattering nine hits (eight singles) without walking a batter and striking out four. The run-rule victory gave Siegel his league-leading eighth win of the season.
