ITHACA, NY – The top-seeded Skidmore College women's tennis team looks to defend a 13-year Liberty League title streak at the 2025 Liberty League Tournament hosted by Ithaca College from Friday to Sunday.
WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW
Aiming for a 14th straight Liberty League title, the Thoroughbreds finished in a three-way tie for first at 7-1 along with Vassar and RPI. Skidmore earned the top seed by winning a combined 11 singles and doubles matches against the other two teams. Vassar, which won 10 singles and doubles matches head-to-head, is the second seed, while RPI (six singles and doubles matches won) is seeded third. Skidmore defeated Vassar, 5-2, but fell to RPI, 4-3. Vassar defeated RPI 4-0. As of April 30, there are five Liberty League teams ranked in the latest ITA Top-75 poll — RPI (25), Vassar (28), Skidmore (34), St. Lawrence (36) and Union (42).
