VERONA, N.Y. – First-year Rudraksha Banerjee is just one shot off the lead after two out of three days at Turning Stone as the Skidmore College golf team remains in fourth place in the Liberty League Championship.
  • Saturday's action was delayed due to rain. Players returned to the course in the afternoon and played the back-nine only as the first nine was officially canceled. The event is now a 45-hole tournament.
  • Banerjee worked around a pair of bogeys with three birdies and a 1-under 35. At 2-under of the championship, he is one behind Rochester's Luke Evans in a five-way tie for second. Banerjee has birdied the short par-4 16th two days in a row.
  • Evan Forrest and Johnny Hwang both had a birdie and seven pars on their back-nine cards for matching even-par 36s. Forrest will head into the final day in a tie for ninth, and Hwang is tied for 12th.
  • Tate Esler and Patrick McLaughlin both shot 39s. Esler is tied for 22nd and McLaughlin sits in 24th.
  • Rensselaer closed the gap between it and first-place Rochester on Saturday outpacing the leader by five. The Yellowjackets still lead by four. Rochester, NYU, and Skidmore all had team scores of 146 in the modified middle day of the championship.
