Skidmore places 13th at FSC Spring Invitational

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's golf team finished 13th at the FSC Spring Invitational held April 19-20 at Bethpage State Park Golf Red Course, a par-70, 7,092-yard layout.
  • The Thoroughbreds posted a team score of 307 in the second round of the stroke-play event finishing with an even 600 for the tournament.
  • Rensselaer won the tournament with a team total of 568, followed by Rochester and Farmingdale State, who tied for second both just one shot back.
  • Rudraksha Banerjee led the Thoroughbreds with a 75 (+5), finishing tied for 35th overall.
  • Patrick McLaughlin carded a 76 (+6), placing T45.
  • Evan Forrest finished T45 as well with a 78 (+8).
  • Johnny Hwang recorded a 78 (+8), tying for 57th.
  • Tate Esler rounded out the scoring lineup for Skidmore with an 81 (+11), tying for 76th.
  • As in individual, Campbell Jenkins shot a 77 on Sunday and finished T63 overall.

"We had another solid showing by our first-year players, but after a tough start in very strong winds, we were not able to get any momentum going today. We will regroup and get ready to compete at the League Championship next weekend at Turning Stone."
