BUFFALO, NY – The Skidmore College women's tennis team kicked off the 2025 spring season with a tough test against Division I Buffalo, in which the Thoroughbreds lost 7-0 to kick off the weekend road trip.
"Great experience match vs. a very strong D1 opponent. They came out strong in doubles, and we're just getting used to the new 6-game format," said head coach
Curt Speerschneider. "We were able to settle a bit in singles and had some opportunities to take some leads and possibly some sets, but credit to Buffalo for upping their level whenever we pushed them. It was a fun high-level battle and a great learning experience for us to start the spring off."
