MANAHAWKIN, NJ – 17 members of the Skidmore College field hockey team were recognized on the 2024 Division III National Academic Squad for the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), as revealed by the organization on Wednesday.
Listed below are the honorees, alphabetically by last name:
Of the selections, the senior quartet of Barrett, Hassett, Maher and Tunnicliffe were also each selected for the fourth consecutive year.
With more than 1880 student-athletes from more than 150 instutions, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
Up next, there are still three prestigious Division III academic awards yet to be unveiled. First up being the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction, which will be announced on February 14, followed by the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 18, and concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 20.
